Global emissions will probably reach their all-time high this year and then fall.
At least that is the prediction of the Norwegian consultancy firm DNV.
Solar energy and batteries are now so cheap that coal and oil are increasingly out of the race.
So everything safe and sound? Not at all. The predicted development would still result in a warming of 2.2 percent - that would be damn uncomfortable.
