Nordic Energy policies - Sweden’s challenges to the European electricity grid

The EU electricity grid faces major challenges, with closer integration needed. However, controversies persist - especially around electricity price zones. In Germany, this is being discussed intensively, but with a focus on domestic issues. Yet it affects neighbours like Sweden, where prices are influenced by German policy. In our briefing, we show which interests are at the forefront and what impact the debate could have on the expansion of European infrastructure.

The Briefing can be read in English here.
The German version can be read here.
